About

I start with photographs and I started with the camera in lieu of a sketchbook because  I lost confidence in my ability to draw.  To me, drawing is about having the confidence to see where a line will go.  What photographs did was allow me to follow the lens without being hung up about perspective.  Going back to drawing has changed how and why I photograph, I am less interested in the real and apparent than I used to be, the camera doesn’t lie, but it can be used to start all manner of fibs about the world in front of us.
